Zinn: Help! The big guys are stuffing standards down my throat.

Standards are (too) often defined by the larger vendors and they often do so by circumventing the normal channels, simply because they have enough weight to throw around to make this happen. Is this fair and is it a good thing? In our weekly discussion, I asked Ray Zinn that question. In his 37 years as the CEO of Micrel, he found himself on the receiving end of some of those standards, so he knew what it felt like.
