Imagination offers solutions to lots of partners that could be viewed as competitive. Is that potentially a problem for an IP company? Maybe yes and may no, depending on how it handled, and Tony King-Smith, executive vice president at Imagination Technologies explained how his company walks the tightrope to remain agnostic. Secondly, I asked Tony why the MIPS architecture, which operates in a similar fashion to the ARM architecture, hasn't gained the same spotlight as ARM. He explained that it actually is an apples-to-apples discussion, and he is pushing MIPS to be the leader in the application spaces where it makes the most sense. Finally, what's the difference between working for a Japanese company verses a British company? Everything.
