Marvell Releases Prestera CX 8500 Family

SANTA CLARA, CA. Marvell’s Prestera CX 8500 family ranges from 2 to 12.8 Terabits per second (Tbps), designed for edge and private data centers operating on flexible infrastructure.

The Marvell Prestera CX 8500 portfolio offers advanced workflow visibility, analytics and network simplification to support QoS, traffic management and scalability in an effort to cater to data center architectures.

The Marvell Prestera CX 8500 solutions are available in 25 Gbps and 50 Gbps I/O options, provide greater than 35 percent lower power consumption at the system level and 25 percent more total buffer memory.

Features of the Marvell Prestera CX 8500 include:

• Packet Processor

• Storage Aware Flow Engine (SAFE)

• Forwarding Architecture using Slices of Terabit Ethernet Routers (FASTER)

• Telemetry

Marvell will be appearing at the OCP U.S. Summit 2019 in San Jose, CA in booth A5 from March 14-15, 2019 to demo its new Ethernet switching solutions.
