Continental’s ContiPressureCheck TPMS Joins Forces with Truck-Lite Co.’s Road Ready Trailer Telematics

FORT MILL, S.C. Continental has combined its ContiPressureCheck tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) with Truck-Lite Co.’s Road Ready trailer telematics system, transmitting data to the cloud, providing full disclosure of tire vitals.

It will be the industry’s first true “smart” trailer that will monitor and transmit crucial data to improve safety, diminish roadside service calls, prolong tire life, minimize tire maintenance costs, and avoid CSA violations, guaranteeing safe and on-time deliveries.

Continental’s sensor is affixed to the inner liner of the tire, protecting it from damage or robbery and gives an exact measurement of the tire’s pressure and temperature. The system is conducive for trailers and tractors as well as buses and coaches. Fleets also have the option to add in-cab displays to each vehicle, enabling drivers to view tire pressure and temperature data as simultaneously displayed on the Road Ready dashboard.
