EEPROM reliability meets SRAM performance

July 6, 2017 Microchip Technology Inc.

EERAM is a non-volatile SRAM with a shadow EEPROM backup. Data is backed up to the EEPROM automatically on power down in the presence of a small external capacitor. These devices combines the reliability of an EEPROM with the performance of an SRAM.

Microchip’s EERAM products offer unlimited, instant writes to memory and reliable data storage at power loss. This low-cost NVSRAM is available in tiny 8-pin packages and does not need a battery.

  • Low-cost NVSRAM solution
  • 4 Kb to 16 Kb I2C
  • Ideal for data logging applications
  • Reliability of EEPROM with the performance of SRAM
  • Automatically stores data when system power is lost
  • No battery needed
  • Unlimited endurance
