ITTIA, Cypress Collaborate on Embedded SQL Database for Wireless MCUs

October 2, 2019 Brandon Lewis

ITTIA’s DB SQL embedded database engine has been integrated as a relational database library in Cypress Semiconductor’s WICED SDK. This allows flash media on Cypress wireless MCU-based systems to support SQL queries and data storage.

The integrated offering helps decentralize data capture, management, and analysis, as dynamic concurrent queries of flash memory can be performed on multiple devices over a Wi-Fi connection. It also enables redundancy via device-to-device database replication.

An ITTIA DB SQL evaluation kit will be available for Cypress WICED and MODBUS platforms, and include a demonstrations of data collection from analog sensors and database replication.
