Hex Five Security on RISC-V Being the Most Secure Computing Platform Ever

?For the first time, RISC-V enables the paradigm of Security by Default without adding burden to hardware and software development.?

Santa Clara, CA - December 3, 2018 - Speaking at the RISC-V Summit in Santa Clara on December 4, 2018, Cesare Garlati, co-founder of Hex Five Security, Inc., developer of MultiZone™ Security, the first Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) for RISC-V, will show how to make RISC-V the most secure computing platform ever by enabling the paradigm of Security by Default rather than exception.

Areas that Mr. Garlati will explore include: how the embedded system threat model has evolved from external to internal due to the unavoidable inclusion of 3rd party dependencies and the ever increasing attack surface of rich operating systems; how the built-in security features of RISC-V enable security by separation without burdening the developer or the processor; and how MultiZone™ Security brings all these together in a robust - yet developer-friendly - Trusted Execution Environment.

In addition, Hex Five will show several first-of-a-kind security demonstrations in partner booths at the RISC-V Summit Exhibition:

• In the Microchip booth, the first RISC-V TEE running in a Linux capable processor – the HiFive Unleashed with MultiZone™ Security providing secure boot and trusted execution environments across the U54 64-bit cores and peripherals on the Microchip expansion board.

• In the Andes Technology booth, an N25 32-bit RISC-V core protected by MultiZone™ Security operating a three zone TEE implementation.

• In the SiFive booth, an E51 64-bit RISC-V core protected by MultiZone™ Security operating a robotics demo that is available for download now at https://github.com/hex-five
