DiSTI Announces Partnership with Telechips

DiSTI and Telechips partnership highlights GL Studio UI technology running on the Dolphin+ Hardware.

The DiSTI Corporation, a leading provider of graphical user interface software to the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries announces a partnership with Telechips. DiSTI used GL Studio to build a high fidelity digital instrument cluster running on the Dolphin+. This demonstrator will be highlighted at the GL Studio UI Experience VIP Suite and the Telechips suite during the 2019 CES show in Las Vegas.

DiSTI’s GL Studio is a comprehensive UI development tool for seamlessly creating cross platform 2D and 3D user interface content. GL Studio streamlines UI asset creation through implementation readiness in one platform without compromising the original designer’s vision. By consuming industry standard file formats such as Photoshop and 3D Studio Max, the graphic artist drives the user experience while the implementation engineers deploy the embedded with the UX/UI workflow. This significantly reducing the time to market and cost of development. “Working with Telechips over the past several years has been fantastic”, said Christopher Giordano, Vice President of UX/UI Technology at The DiSTI Corporation “We have been fortunate enough to move to a production platform with Telechips and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership.”

Telechips provided the automotive system-on-chip TCC803x (Dolphin+) for car infotainment systems, providing plentiful connected car interfaces, mobile device connectivity solution, SDR (Software Defined Radio) solution, and Smart Antenna. The Dolphin+ provides high quality graphics within an extremely low power budget and enables outstanding performance of 2D/3D graphics engine for rich GUI on multiple independent screens. The Dolphin+ has advanced technology in automotive Hardware Security Module (HSM) and seamlessly handles control of CAN bus with MICOM subsystem.

“We are delighted that Dolphin+ demonstrates DiSTI’s GL Studio in full performance, showing powerful graphic enhanced by Arm’s new GPU Mali G51 core.” said Stanley Kim, Vice President of Automotive & CE Business Unit at Telechips “Cluster market is gradually digitalizing. DiSTI and Telechips will provide a strong solution for a digital cluster with Dolphin+ and GL Studio.”
