wolfSSL Announces Expansion of Cryptographic Benchmarks

wolfSSL announced the expansion of its most comprehensive set of cryptographic benchmarks.

wolfSSL announced the expansion of its most comprehensive set of cryptographic benchmarks.

The embedded SSL/TLS library was written with portability, performance, and memory usage it the forefront of its development. Further, the latest assembly speedups and highly optimized code was also utilized.

In an effort to enhance sizing, transmission rates, connection speeds, and cryptography performance, wolfSSL includes a version of its benchmark suite in every download users perform. Additionally, the our benchmark application runs performance tests on wolfCrypt’s algorithms.

Per the company, it supports hardware crypto acceleration for STMicroelectronics, Microchip, NXP, Renesas, Infineon, Nordic, Cypress, Espressif, TI, Xilinx, Intel, ARM, and more. wolfSSL offers support for offloading cryptographic operations that include hardware cryptography modules.

A few examples of the operations include the Crypto Acceleration Unit (CAU), Memory-Mapped Crypto Acceleration Unit (mmCAU), and LP Trusted Crypto (LTC).

Using the modules promote an increased performance while comparing them to performing hardware cryptography within software only. The speedups also help increase algorithm performance.
