Teledyne LeCroy’s WaveRunner 8000HD Oscilloscopes Target Power, Automotive and Embedded Systems

Teledyne LeCroy announced the availability of the WaveRunner 8000HD High-Definition Oscilloscopes (HDO), presented as the only 8-channel, 12-bit resolution, 2 GHz instruments currently available. The 8000HD has a 15.6-inch touchscreen, high channel counts, and 5 Gigapoints of acquisition memory, with 2 GHz of bandwidth and 12-bit resolution for demanding embedded control system and power integrity debug needs.

With eight channels and more acquisition memory, two WaveRunner 8000HD oscilloscopes can be connected together with OscilloSYNC technology to function as a single 16-channel acquisition system. HD4096 technology provides 12 bits of resolution at all times with no compromises, unlike legacy instruments that either drop a 10- or 12-bit ADC into a conventional 8-bit signal path or use software techniques.

The WaveRunner 8000HD oscilloscopes start at $28,625. They are offered in bandwidths of 350 MHz, 500 MHz, 1 GHz, and 2 GHz; with sample rates up to 10 GS/s; and with up to 1.25 Gigapoints of acquisition memory on each channel (5 Gigapoints interleaved). Availability is 6-8 weeks ARO.
