Panasonic Industry Europe launched the HMx700 Series of operator panels with Multi-Touch functions that work like a smartphone.  The  panel accepts several touch gestures, such as wiping, enlarging, reducing, scrolling, and others.  The function keys of the touch screen display can be easily and individually adapted. The user of the operating panel can watch stored videos, read PDFs, or adapt the contents to the correct size using the zoom function.

The HMI Series allows transfer rates up to 50MByte/sec, and can also be operated with protective gloves with its capacitive glass touch display. With an operating temperature range from -20°C to +60°C, device features include UV-resistance, scratch-resistance, and resistance to a variety of chemicals.
