Murata Releases New 6A Buck Regulator

Murata released the MYTNA1R86RELA2RA DC?DC converter. The new regulator is designed for 2-cell, 3-cell, and 12V point-of-load applications.

Murata released the MYTNA1R86RELA2RA DC–DC converter. The new regulator is designed for 2-cell, 3-cell, and 12V point-of-load applications. Additionally, the buck regulator features an input voltage range of 6.0V–14.4V and produces a programmable output of 0.7V–1.8V at up to 6 amps.

According to the company, the regulator’s efficiency can go above 90% for 12V input to 1.8V output.

With a size of 9mm x 10.5mm x 2.1 mm, it integrates passive components, such as bulk output capacitance, in order to meek transient load requirements. Fewer external components are required due to this.

MYTNA1R86RELA2RA’s power architecture hosts benefits that include approximately 5x reduction in input ripple, lower EMI, and a temperature range of -40 to +105°C.
