Mitsubishi Electric UPS For Data Centers Boasts High Power Density

The 9900D uses 400kVA power modules integrated with intelligent bypass modules in 1200kVA, 1600kVA, 2000kVA sizes

Mitsubishi Electric recently released the 9900D line of UPS products, designed for demanding cloud and colocation data centers. Presented as the smallest modular scalable static UPS capable of such high power densities, the 9900D uses 400kVA power modules integrated with intelligent bypass modules in 1200kVA, 1600kVA, 2000kVA sizes.

The scalable design enables adding of supplemental modules to meet increasing capacity needs. The lightweight UPS is based on 7th-gen IGBT based 3-level topology, and operates at up to 97 percent efficiency.  Internal component selection and intelligent cooling design increase reliability and a 15-year capacitor life, reducing maintenance costs and lowering the total cost of ownership.
