Maxim’s Compact LED Drivers Tout High Efficiency, Low EMI

Maxim Integrated Products’ MAX25610A and MAX25610B family of synchronous buck and buck-boost LED drivers and DC-DC converters offer improved EMI performance. Able to drive up to eight HBLEDs directly from an automotive battery, the devices are suited for automotive lighting systems as well as industrial and commercial lighting applications.

MAX25610A/B LED drivers offer a useful solution size, high efficiency, and improved EMI performance, and accept an input voltage range from 5V to 36V in buck-boost LED driver applications, with up to 90 percent efficiency in buck-boost mode. Features include an internal current sense option, and integrated high- and low-side switching MOSFETs, programmable on-chip PWM dimming, and a 2.2MHz switching frequency.

The MAX25600 60V, synchronous, high-voltage, four-switch buck-boost LED controller can shift between buck, buck-boost and boost modes, useful for driving changing LED loads in high-power automotive, commercial, and industrial lighting applications.
