GaN Systems released the GS-065 family of low-current (3.5A to 11A) transistors, developed for sub-1kW power applications. Targeting consumer-level power supplies, the devices are packaged in thermally efficient PDFN packages with a 5.0 x 6.0 mm footprint, with ratings of 3.5 A, 8 A, and 11 A, ranging in R_DS(on) from 500 mΩ to 150 mΩ. 

The EZDrive-based evaluation kit for these devices has a design eliminating the need for a discrete driver, reducing the component count, and is adaptable to many power levels, switching frequencies, and LLC/PFC controllers. GaN Systems is displaying these GaN solutions at the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC) in Anaheim, Calif. on March 17-21, 2019.
