Flex Power’s Latest Sixteenth-Brick 260w DC-DC Converter Touts Power Density

Flex Power Modules’ PKU4217D is a sixteenth-brick DC-DC converter that can deliver up to 260W at an output 10.4 Volts. The isolated intermediate-bus device can replace existing eighth-brick converters, saving 40 percent of the space required.

With an efficiency of typically 96.1 percent (at 48Vin, half load), the converter accepts an input voltage range from 36V to 60V, with an isolation of 2250V (suitable for Power over Ethernet applications) and a power output of up to 25A or 260W, at 10.4Vout. The 33.02 x 22.86 x 11.30mm PKU4217D is available optionally with a baseplate, or as a surface-mounted device. The module meets safety requirements according to IEC/EN/UL 62368-1.
