ACEINNA has released a new whitepaper for engineers who develop autonomous car navigation, safety and communication systems. It illustrates the integration of Inertial Measurement Unit sensor technology with CAN communications in different types of vehicles and classes.
CAN is employed to transmit IMU data to other sensors as well as the main vehicle control in an autonomous vehicle and can be shared with up to 20 other vehicle subsystems consisting of LIDAR, Camera and Radar, in addition to primary compute engines.
