Exhibitor’s Forum Presentations

Software is eating the world. The Embedded World that is.

Wednesday, February 28, 10:00 – 10:30 AM, Hall 3A, Stand 3A-610

This presentation explores what happens when unsecured code on IoT/Embedded devices is released to the unsuspecting public and how the security industry can help prevent this in the future. Attend to learn how the latest software development techniques and cutting edge tools can help to eliminate security vulnerabilities before they make it to production. And finally how you can be a part of the solution instead of part of the problem.

Conference Presentations

Safety and Security from the Inside - a SoC's Perspective

Wednesday, February 28, 1:30 - 2:00 PM, Session 11

Today’s electronics need to address safety and security considerations; that said, these concepts are continuously evolving and are redefined based on perspective. This presentation will discuss the considerations for safety and security from the inside of the SoC, going over the role of the IP, subsystems, and overall system design.

Deep Learning Requirements for Autonomous Vehicles

Wednesday, February 28, 4:00 - 4:30 PM, Session 23

This presentation shares our results from security scanning over 120,000 his presentation will discuss the current and next-generation requirements for ADAS vision applications, including the need for deep-learning accelerators. It will discuss how coming changes in deep learning will improve ADAS performance, and discuss how to evaluate the hardware and software tools needed to quickly deploy ADAS applications with high-definition resolutions.

X-Ray Your Software Supply Chain. Automate Your Security Gates

Wednesday, February 28, 4:30 - 5:00 PM, Session 18

This presentation shares our results from security scanning over 120,000 embedded software packages across a wide range of application domains. We will detail the process of decomposing each software package into its component and then cross-matching each component with its known security vulnerabilities as recorded in the National Vulnerability Database (NVD). We explain the purpose of the NVD, how to use it and how to make sense of the recorded Common Vulnerability Exposure (CVE) entries. We will conclude with our lessons learned and share suggestions the audience can explore in their own supply chain and software development lifecycle.

Special Event

Wednesday, February 28, 5:00 - 10:00 PM, KORN'S GmbH

Join Synopsys and an elite group of cyber security professionals during Embedded World at our Elevate event. The evening will feature international and local experts discussing IoT and embedded security threats, along with networking opportunities and entertainment.
