Glomation introduces New 500 MHz ARM Cortex A5 Based Single Board Computer

Glomation introduces new 500MHz ARM single board computer (SBC) GESBC-5200. The newest member of the Glomation embedded computer family provides higher performance yet maintain the low cost tradition.

Glomation announced an ARM Cortex A5-powered single-board computer (SBC). The new GESBC-5200 is based on the 500MHz Microchip ARM Cortex A5 processor SAMA5D27. The high-performance, ultra-low-power ARM Cortex A5 processor features ARM TrustZone, NEON Media Processing Engine, 32-Kbyte L1 data cache, 32-Kbyte L1 instruction cache, 128-Kbyte L2 cache configurable to be used as an internal SRAM. The GESBC-5200 has 256MB DDR2RAM, 128 ~ 1GB on-board NAND FLASH. Real world connections include 2 UBS host ports, 3 RS-232 ports, 1 RS-485 port, 1 CAN bus port, XBee/WiFi/cellular modem socket, 10/100 Ethernet, 8 high current drive output port, 6 protected digital input port, 4 channel 14 bit analog-to-digital converter, SPI, I2C, and/or 18 LVTTL GPIO ports.

The SBC includes an on-chip real time clock with battery backup, plus on-chip watchdog timer. Power consumption is just 0.25 Amps, requiring a 5V DC supply.
