STMicroelectronics is taking its annual free ST Developers Conference Virtual, eliminating travel and expense as constraints on attendees.

STMicroelectronics is taking its annual free ST Developers Conference Virtual, eliminating travel and expense as constraints on attendees and extending the opportunity for engineers and makers to access an extensive program of valuable training from the comfort of their desks and homes.

With more than 70 sessions across 5 tracks – Industrial, Automotive, IoT Applications, Communications Equipment, and Personal Electronics – ST and its partners will share useful and practical problem-solving tricks and techniques to make attendees more productive and their products even better.

Sessions at ST DevCon will dig down into ST’s industry-leading STM32 MCUs and MPUs, highlighting the diversity of features in the 16 different series in the family as well as the extensive Ecosystem that eases and accelerates development. There will also be sessions offering training in Time-of-Flight sensing, a range of high- and low-data-rate connectivity technologies, security and protecting over-the-air updates, and a full assortment of sensors, including ST’s unique, Swiss-Army-knife-like SensorTile.Box, a ready-to-use box kit containing 8 MEMS sensors[1], an ultra-low-power STM32L4 MCU, Bluetooth connectivity, a long-life rechargeable battery, and a firmware programming and debugging interface that allows professional developers to engage in more complex firmware code development using the STM32 Open Development Environment, which includes among many options, a sensing AI function pack with neural network libraries.

Automotive sessions include trainings on ST’s innovative Smart Gateway Platform, driver- and occupant-monitoring systems, Intelligent Power Switching, and Li-ion battery management. Industrial-market-focused sessions cover a broad range of trainings on NFC, LPWAN, Bluetooth, and other communications technologies, motor control and predictive maintenance, data-center power management, and even Space applications.

On top of 50+ sessions from ST, partners like Microsoft will share tips on programming with Azure RTOS, Qt will offer a session on driving “ST’s HMI of Things with Qt and ST’s free TouchGFX” graphical software framework, SensiML will show how to “Build Smarter IoT Products Faster with SensiML and ST SensorTile.Box”, and uSound will deliver two sessions one innovative audio systems or microspeakers for a variety of applications. And that is just to name a few!

A highlight presentation will unveil the technology and support behind a soon-to-be-announced open-market approach to designing Augmented Reality (AR) glasses using a Laser-Beam Scanning (LBS) projector system. The incredible system meets the demanding performance, size, and power constraints necessary to broad adoption of AR glasses.
