Winmate Collaborates with Microsoft to Accelerate IoT Deployment

July 9, 2020 Winmate

Winmate announces that it has joined Microsoft Azure Certified for Internet of Things (IoT), allowing customers to have IoT solutions up and running quickly with hardware and software that has been pre-tested and verified to work with Microsoft Azure IoT services. Winmate devices with the certification allow users to define the data flow and upload/exchange field data to Microsoft Azure cloud service platforms no matter where they are, driving their business forward more efficiently.

Devices benefitting from this collaboration include Winmate's M900P, M900PT, and M101S rugged tablets, along with the EAC Mini IoT Gateway family. The rugged tablets are designed with the ultimate enterprise mobility in mind to bring impressive computing power and functionality into fields, vehicles, factories, or anywhere else. The M900P and M900PT are compact 8"" rugged tablets equipped with the Intel® Apollo Lake Pentium® N4200 processor and a D-Sub interface connector that provides a connection with your vehicle for automotive integration. The M101S, on the other hand, comes with a larger, yet still lightweight 10.1"" form factor and the high-performance Intel® Core™ i5-7200U Kaby Lake processor. The three models feature IP65 water and dustproof enclosure with support for versatile communication options (GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE) and data capture methods (Barcode reader, RFID reader, Smart Card reader). Being Microsoft Azure Certified for IoT means that the devices work with an ecosystem of devices and platforms to allow businesses to reach customers wherever they are, accelerating the deployment of IoT further.

As for the EAC Mini IoT Gateway lineup, including the EACIL20, EACIL21, EACIL67, and EACFA20, these are the industrial IoT gateways engineered to be a stable, secure communication bridge between local devices, sensors, and the cloud. The EACIL20 comes with a wide range of expansion modules to offer plentiful options for additional serial interfaces and USB ports to connectivity options such as Wi-Fi and 4G LTE; meanwhile, the EACIL21 and IP67 water and dustproof EACIL67 feature USB Type-C technology, meaning they can provide display output, transfer USB data and deliver up to 15W (5V/3A) of power all at the same time. This duo also contains the option for WiFi and has all the necessary connectors for connectivity. The EACFA20 boasts more than a dozen expansion possibilities thanks to the expansion modules providing various options for extra serial interfaces like CANBUS and digital I/O, or wireless connectivity options with 4G LTE. With the EAC Mini IoT Gateway family being certified to support the ecosystem of Microsoft Azure IoT, users can save time and simplify the integration of their device with cloud software solutions for whichever IoT application they want.

Through the collaboration with Microsoft, Winmate is enhancing the integration of enterprise mobility solutions and embedded computing technology into today's IIoT applications, assisting customers in getting real-time insight into their assets while reducing equipment downtime using predictive maintenance solutions.
