IDT's 18-Bit Signal Conditioner Serves Capacitive Sensor Applications

November 22, 2019 Alix Paultre

Integrated Device Technology, a subsidiary of Renesas Electronics, recently launched the ZSSC3230, an energy-efficient and precise 18-bit sensor signal conditioner (SSC) for capacitive sensor applications. Its low power consumption and small size makes it ideal for use with humidity, pressure, level, and other smart capacitive sensor modules.

Requiring as little as 1.3µA at one sample per second, the ZSSC3230 SSC is suitedl for battery-powered applications, such as smart meters and other IoT-connected devices. The ZSSC3230’s capacitive input span and offset can be configured, allowing it to support a broad range of sensors with different characteristics.
