aeSolutions and SANS Institute Partner to Create Industry-Leading ICS Cybersecurity Training Course Tailored to the Needs of Industrial Comp

One-Day Course to be Offered at SANS Oil & Gas Cybersecurity Summit 2019 in Houston, Texas.

Greenville, South Carolina, USA – August 20, 2019  – aeSolutions, a leader in industrial control system (ICS) and operational technology (OT) cybersecurity services, announced that it has partnered with SANS Institute, the global leader in cyber security training and certifications, to offer ICS cybersecurity training specifically designed to meet the needs of managers working for industrial companies. The one-day training course, ICS Cybersecurity for Managers, developed by aeSolutions, will be hosted by SANS during the SANS Oil & Gas Cybersecurity Summit & Training event on Sept. 17 in Houston, Texas. Course instructors will be OT cybersecurity industry veterans and course co-creators, John Cusimano, vice president of industrial cybersecurity, aeSolutions, and Paul Rostick, CISO and industrial cybersecurity advisor, aeSolutions.

The ICS Cybersecurity for Managers course was developed specifically for managers and supervisors in the industry, particularly those who need to have a solid grasp of OT cybersecurity principles, regulations, standards and best practices but don’t have the time or the necessity to take in-depth technical courses.

“This course is a Reader's Digest version of what we have learned over the last decade regarding the effective management and implementation of an ICS/OT cybersecurity program,” Cusimano said. “Throughout the course, Paul and I share practical advice, best practices and interesting anecdotes about our experiences working for and with both large and small companies across a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, petrochemical and other heavy industries.”

Course attendees will leave the class with a set of techniques, tools and templates to more confidently lead and/or participate in their company’s ICS/OT cybersecurity programs.
