Yamaichi 10 GbE RJ45 Connectors Endure 1,500 Mating Cycles

Yamaichi has released the Y-ConPlug CAT6A, an ISO/IEC 11801-compliant RJ45 cable connector. Compatible with other Yamaichi Y-Con components, the Y-ConPlug CAT6A supports 10 GbE data transmission speeds.

Y-ConPlug CAT6A cable connectors have an endurance of 1,500 mating cycles and support an operating temperature range of -40°C to +120°C. The RoHS-compliant connectors have a contact area of 30μ" Au, and use piercing contacts.

The industrial-grade connectors have an integrated cable guide, nickel-plated-brass EMC shield, and a square cable crimp. Y-ConPlug CAT6A products can be designed to IP69K, IP68, IP67, and IP20 protection ratings, and use protective covers made of zinc die-cast or PBT.
