SEGGER Brings Music and Technology Together

January 9, 2019 Laura Dolan

Monheim, Germany. SEGGER has announced it will support the MIDI class with emUSB-Host. This will allow the USB host stack to correlate with various music gadgets including MIDI controllers, sequencers, drum machines, samplers, effect units, synthesizers or different instruments.

The MIDI class efficiently supports devices with multiple MIDI ports, as it communicates and receives MIDI commands as well as detecting attachments and when a MIDI device is removed.

SEGGER’s many MIDI class creations include the MIDI player and combining customary HID and new MIDI classes of emUSB-Host for converting standard PC keyboards into a MIDI controller that can control a synthesizer or other sound generating devices.
