ISELED Alliance Continues to Grow

Support from many industrial sectors significantly expands the potential of innovative LED technology.

With the goal of promoting digital LED technology and infrastructure in the industry, the ISELED Alliance has grown from an initial five members in 2016 to the current count of 28 companies. Within the ISELED protocol, not only LED elements, but also other components such as matrix LED lights, sensors, and actuators can be controlled in large numbers via a simple two-wire connection. At CES 2019, the group of companies presented, among other things, a concept vehicle with cognitive light, smart structures and lightweight construction.

Among the recent additions to the ISELED Alliance is the Dräxlmaier Group, an automotive supplier, and Everlight Electronics, an LED manufacturer. The product portfolio of the Dräxelmaier Group includes ambient and functional lighting systems, interior systems, board networks, and battery systems for e-mobility. Everlight is an optoelectronics provider with a product portfolio consisting of high-power LEDs, SMD LEDs, lamps, lighting components, digital displays, opto-couplers, and IR components for various applications. Also new to the Alliance is Xingyu Car Light, a maker of automotive LED lamps, and a Scottish company called designLED, that integrates LEDs into thin and mechanically flexible "light tiles" without bulky secondary optics and heat sinks for applications ranging from automotive interior lighting to architecture and design.

The Dr. Schneider Unternehmensgruppe has made itself a name in vehicle interiors – from innovative ventilation systems to highly integrated trim panels and sophisticated modules for instrument panels and center consoles. Inova Semiconductors presented ISELED technology, including demos and first products, at ISAL (23 to 24 September 2019) at Darmstadt, Germany.
