The Industrial Internet Consortium has launched the IIoT Maturity Assessment tool to help users understand their progression with IoT technologies. Part of the IIC Resource Hub, the web-based tool highlights best practices that could be adopted by an organization while calling out areas of deficiency through a range of questions.

The IIoT Maturity Assessment is comprised of frameworks that address Technology, Security, Business Strategy, and the Business Solution Lifecycle. These frameworks consider 63 individual capabilities in total, each of which are scored on a maturity scale of one to five. Feedback is then provided to users that identifies areas in need of improvement, pointing them to reference links in the IIC Body of Knowledge.

The Maturity Assessment is available in Quick, Standard, and Detailed levels of analysis.
