Greene Tweed's Arlon 3000 XT Polymer Enables High-temperature Performance in Electronics

The material provides excellent thermal stability and chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, low wear, and high impact resistance

Greene Tweed, a manufacturer of high-performance seals, thermoplastics, composites, and engineered components, presented its Arlon 3000 XT thermoplastic for electronics applications. Targeting sensors, connectors, and high-voltage insulators, the material provides excellent thermal stability and chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, low wear, and high impact resistance.

Presented as the first and only cross-linked, semi-crystalline polyketone solution, Arlon 3000 XT offers superior high-temperature performance over other plastics used in the electronics and electrical markets in environments above 460?C. Due to its salient dielectric properties, the thermoplastic provides better electrical insulation and dissipation, faster signal throughput, and superior noise-abating characteristics over legacy materials, and is capable of load bearing over the glass transition point.
