Kerlink to Provide Israeli, Saturas, Startup with LoRa-Based Hardware, Software

Kerlink announced it will provide  Saturas, an Israeli startup company, with LoRa-based hardware and software as it launches its technology commercially.

Kerlink is a provider of solutions for designing, launching, and operating public and private LoRaWAN IoT networks. Saturas is currently developing a tree-embedded sensor system for the continuous measurement of stem water potential (SWP) of trees and vines.

Per a press release, Saturas is the first company to create an automatic measurement system for SWP.

According to the company, SWP is scientifically recognized as the most reliable measurement of water stress and an important practical tool for irrigation management.

Kerlink is going to supply the startup’s deployments with hardware and software products that include its solar-powered Wirnet iStationWanesy Management Center, and Wanesy Network-as-a-Service.

The Israel-based company already raised approximately $9 million, which includes €1.5 million H2020 grant from the European Commission in 2019.
