Perforce Software at Embedded World 2020: Helix QAC and Klocwork together for the first time at Embedded World 2020

2 conference presentations: 'Integration of AUTOSAR C++ Coding Guidelines into MISRA C++', and 'Safety and Security-Critical Embedded Software Development Within DevOps'.

On booth 4-568, Perforce will be showing for the first time both its static code analysis tools, Helix QAC and Klocwork, for embedded software design. This follows on from Perforce's acquisition of Klocwork in 2019. The two products complement each other to address the needs of a wide variety of embedded projects, large or small, cloud or on-premise, compliance-driven or not, across C, C++, C# and Java. Both products support MISRA and other coding standards focused on safety and security.

Other product areas on show from Perforce on booth 4-400 will include Helix ALM and Helix Core, its version control engine, both of which are widely used in the embedded market.

Perforce will also be presenting twice at the conference: 'Integration of AUTOSAR C++ Coding Guidelines into MISRA C++', and 'Safety and Security-Critical Embedded Software Development Within DevOps'.

Static Code Analysis Product Evangelist Steve Howard, who has 20+ years engineering and technical industry experience, will be speaking on 'Safety and Security-Critical Embedded Software Development Within DevOps'. He will be examining the unique requirements of safety and security critical software development, and how Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery brings time and consistency benefits.

Dr Frank van den Beuken, Technical Support for Helix QAC at Perforce Software, who brings over two decades' engineering and consulting experience, will speak at the conference on 'Integration of AUTOSAR C++ Coding Guidelines into MISRA C++'. This follows the announcement that two industry standards for best coding practice in C++ will integrate into one publication. Dr van den Beuken's sessions will aim to give a unique inside view of the possible outcomes of the MISRA C++ working group.
