STMicroelectronics’ AIS2DW12 automotive accelerometer offers Passive Keyless Entry (PKE) that is strong enough to withstand inevitable drops after passing severe industry shock testing. It also uses very little power consumption and provides theft resistance with motion sensing.

The AIS2DW12:

• Runs on a current of just 380nA at 1.6Hz, improving battery use
• Operates from 1.8V DC and can be powered from a single lithium cell, producing a digital output with full-scale range up to 4g
• Is AEC-Q100 certified and compliant with automotive Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) Level-3
• Available in a 2mm x 2mm x 1mm 12-pad Land-Grid Array (LGA) package from $1.375 for orders of 1,000 pieces.
