SOPHIA-ANTIPOLIS, FRANCE. The European Processor Initiative (EPI) has selected Menta SAS as its sole provider of embedded FPGA IP. Menta’s assortment of eFPGA fabrics, memory, and Origami Designer specification software help SoC architects meet high-performance compute (HPC) and automotive electronic control unit (ECU) silicon requirements.
Menta’s digital eFPGA IP is provided on a 7 nm process, and has been tested and verified using standard ASIC design flow methodologies to guarantee fast delivery. The technology has also been produced on processes ranging from 14 nm to 130 nm, and will begin tapeout in 2020.
The EPI consists of 23 organizations from 10 countries focused on designing, manufacturing, and commercializing exascale high-performance computing (HPC) systems. Consortium members include Atos, BMW, CEA, Infineon, and ST Microelectronics.
“Our participation in this consortium really highlights the ability of our eFPGAs to be provided on any process technology, even the most advanced, such as 7nm, thanks to our third-party standard cells approach,” says Vincent Markus, CEO of Menta.
