Go, go, gadget shoppers. It’s Black Friday, and we should have a great read very soon on whether consumer electronics spending is actually picking up, which would be great news for all of us designing it. The buzz is definitely audible. The only initial bad news is retailers seem to have gone lean on inventory, by design, and that means shortages of stuff that does fly off the shelves. The folks that know how to plan their supply chains better will win this season.
