IAR Systems has added support for Microchip’s Arm Cortex-M23-based SAM L10 and SAM L11 MCUs to its Embedded Workbench for Arm toolchain. Support will enable developers working with the SAM L1X families to leverage code optimization techniques and power debugging functionality in the design of fast, efficient, and compact embedded applications.
The 32-bit SAM L10 and SAM L11 MCUs include enhanced Peripheral Touch Controllers, feature extremely low power consumption, and make use of Arm TrustZone for v8-M. The SAM L11 also integrates tamper resistance, secure boot, secure key storage, and a cryptographic module.
IAR Embedded Workbench for Arm allows development organizations to maximize the performance of the MCUs and streamline engineering workflows. The company’s Embedded Trust development environment also allows security to be integrated into the product engineering lifecycle.
