PLX Technology to Present at Multiple Technology Industry Conferences; Worldwide PCI Express Leader Will Take the Podium at Embedded System Conference, PCI-SIG Developers Conference, Freescale Technology Forum

PLX experts will present on PCI Express technology at three upcoming industry conferences, as well as at a PCI Express seminar it’s co-hosting with Mindshare and Agilent.

March 31st, 2008

PLX Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLXT), the leading global supplier of PCI Express® (PCIe®) switch and bridge I/O interconnect solutions, today announced it will be presenting at several major industry events over the coming months. PLX will share its PCIe technology and market expertise at the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC), PCI Special Interest Group Developers Conference (PCI-SIG® DevCon) and Freescale Technology Forum (FTF), as well as a PCIe-focused seminar PLX is co-hosting.

At ESC, in San Jose, Calif., PLX® Chief Systems Architect Shreyas Shah will present “Reining in PCI Express-based Embedded Systems Latency,” which will help designers understand the consequences of PCIe latency – and how to minimize it. (April 18, www.cmpevents.com/ESCw08/)

Jack Regula, chief scientist at PLX, will deliver “Multicast PCI Express” at the PCI-SIG DevCon, in Santa Clara, Calif. This presentation is structured to educate system designers on how the latest PCIe specifications Multicast feature enhances throughput and reduces traffic congestion. Also at PCI-SIG DevCon, Shreyas Shah will present “PCI Express and MR-IOV: Maximizing Multiprocessor Systems,” an in-depth discussion on how multi-root I/O virtualization can optimize performance in multiprocessor environments. (June 11-12, www.pcisig.com/events/devcon_08)

At FTF, in Orlando, Fla., the presentation “PCI Express: Evolution, Deployment and Challenges” by Greg Hartman, applications engineer at PLX, will cover the wide range of PCIe interconnect solutions now on the market and instruct designers how to choose the best device for a specific need. (June 14, www.freescale.com/ftf)

“These highly respected conferences provide not only a platform for industry leaders such as PLX to impart valuable technology information and perspective, but also an environment where all participants can gain and exchange knowledge to create next-generation designs,” said David Raun, PLX vice president of marketing and business development. “Were honored to be selected by ESC, DevCon and FTF to deliver key presentations on PCI Express.”

PLX also will deliver PCIe presentations at a technical seminar focusing on PCIe Gen 2 standards and the explosive features available in new switches. This free event — co-hosted by PLX; Mindshare, a leading technical training provider; and Agilent Technologies, a premier measurement company offering new PCIe Gen 2 tools – takes place at Avnets San Jose, Calif., campus on April 8 and 9. Registration is at www.plxtech.com/pcie2seminar.

PLX entered the PCIe market in 2001 and since then has developed the industrys broadest family of PCIe-based switching and bridging solutions, with more than two million chips already shipped. PLX PCIe experts have presented at numerous industry conferences and authored dozens of articles on PCIe and related interconnect-technology topics for top global trade publications.
