Peugeot Selects Qt for New Concept Car's Digital Cockpit

Qt?s Development Framework Elevates PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT Model?s Digital Cockpit to Next-Generation.

Peugeot has selected Qt’s development framework for the digital cockpit inside the PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT.

The fully electric PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT vehicle has autonomous driving capabilities, combined with a sleek exterior and interior furnished with cutting-edge technology. The digital cockpit has a 49-inch main screen along with 16 smaller screens and a retractable steering wheel when in autonomous driving mode.

Qt’s sophisticated digital cockpits will equip the vehicle with Qt Quick and Qt 3D, allowing for intuitive, next-generation touch-driven displays that incorporate 3D graphics throughout all screens.

“We are thrilled to work with one of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers in developing a digital cockpit that goes hand-in-hand with the comprehensive innovation behind the PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT,” said Tero Marjamäki, Head of Automotive at The Qt Company. “As the cars of tomorrow evolve to adapt to the digital era of today, the driver experience must follow suit. With Qt’s technology, Peugeot ensures the digital cockpit in the driver’s seat is as advanced as the technology under the hood, setting the stage for the driving experience of the future.”

The PEUGEOT e-LEGEND CONCEPT, with the Qt-built digital cockpit, will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show October 4-14, 2018.
