Microsoft Azure IoT SDK Support Added to Express Logic X-Ware Platform

Express Logic has announced support for the integration of Microsoft Azure IoT SDKs in its X-Ware IoT Platform. The extended support for the Azure IoT ecosystem provides additional options for developers looking to quickly develop devices, applications, and services that connect to the Azure IoT Hub.

The X-Ware IoT Platform integrates the NetX Duo dual IPv4/6 networking stack, which provides near-wire-speed connectivity to the Azure IoT Hub over MQTT. NetX Secure encrypts communications using TLS/DTLS.

The X-Ware Platform also includes FileX FAT-32/exFAT file system, GUIX user interface development and runtime framework, and USBX host/device USB stack, as well as the deterministic ThreadX RTOS. The ThreadX RTOS  provides priority-based preemptive scheduling, context switching, and downloadable memory-protected app modules accessible through APIs, making the announcement of particular interest to engineers designing industrial-grade IoT systems that require a compact OS and safety and security compliance.

ThreadX, FileX, and NetX Duo have been certified to IEC 61508, IEC 62304 Class C, ISO 26262 ASIL D, EN 50128 SW-SIL 4, and several other electronic industry standards.
