San Diego, CA -- Team ASA Inc., a manufacturer of high-performance networking and storage computers, today announced the newest board series in the NPWR Single Board Networking Computer family of products, the “NPWR-XTR” series boards.
The NPWR-XTR is a series of three new boards, the series consist of the NPWR-XTRM, NPWR-XTR2 and the NPWR-XTR1. The NPWR-XTRM features an Intel 81342 Dual Core XScale CPU, four SATA ports and Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports. The NPWR-XTR2 features a Intel 81348 Xscale CPU, 8 SATA/SAS ports, 4 SATA ports, and Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports. The NPWR-XTR1 features an Intel 81341 Xscale CPU, four SATA ports and Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports. The NPWR-XTR series supports up to 2 Gigabytes of 533 MHz DDR2 memory via a SODIMM socket.

The NPWR-XTR utilizes Team ASA's second generation 4" by 6.5" form factor, this
compact foot print allows the NPWR-LCX to fit easily into all 3.5" drive bays and
most 3.5" disk enclosures. The 3.5” footprint means that the NPWR-XTR series boards are highly compact and easy to embed.
As with every NPWR SBNC the NPWR-XTR series boards are shipped with Linux OS preloaded. The NPWR Developer Kit CDROM also includes all tools, documentation and sources needed to make any NPWR-based product an immediate success.
Sample quantities of the NPWR-XTR board series are available in May 2007, production quantities will be available in July 2007. The price of a NPWR-XTR configured with Dual Core 1.2 GHz Intel Xscale CPU, 4 SATA ports, 512 MB of DDR SDRAM, Dual Gigabit Ethernet ports in 100 piece quantity is $795.00 USD.
