EnSilica has been ranked at number 5 in the fourth annual Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100, which was published on the 25th of February 2018. This ranks Britain’s 100 small and medium-sized companies with the fastest-growing international sales over the last two years.

EnSilica had a two-year average international growth of 186.65% with revenue from bespoke chip designs and licensing intellectual property. Exports hit £6.1m last year, with Sweden its biggest market. The company expects the US and China to drive growth.

“We are honoured at this recognition of the company’s successful drive for growth and exports,” explained David Doyle, EnSilica’s Commercial Director. “A particular focus has been technology innovations for the driverless car market which has resulted in significant interest and orders from overseas Tier 1 and Tier 2 automotive suppliers.”

Growth has also come from EnSilica extending its business model from design services to now offer managing the whole process of turning the design that they have done for a customer into final silicon. “We have a highly skilled team in place that has the experience to handle every step of the process,” added Ian Lankshear, EnSilica’s CEO. “We have built a reputation for excellence in design over the years so that we are trusted partners for design, delivering right-first-time designs on time and on budget. Because of this trust, they have the confidence in us to successfully manage the process of turning the design into final silicon. Our excellence in supply chain management ensures that the process runs smoothly so that the silicon is also right-first-time and on time and on budget.”
