The evaluation process of Embbeded Box PCs in industrial automation and machine vision often pass through several process steps and instances until final acceptance. For system integrators, an already evaluated basic system offers the advantage of being able to respond flexibly to different customer requirements. With the modular Embedded PC ECN-360-ULT3, ICP Deutschland has now such a basic system new in the product portfolio. Its modularity is based on mPCIe-based E-Window modules, which are led out on the front and back of the housing. By default, the embedded PC can be expanded to up to four LAN GbE ports. For more flexibility, the existing E-Window outbreaks can also be used for own mPCIe modules. The mounting takes place via a slot plate that is both flush with the housing and through which the interfaces are led out.

The basic system is available in two performance classes: An on-board Intel Skylake CoreTM i5-6300U or Celeron 3855U processor with up to 32GB of DDR4 memory provide the necessary power. Two internal 2.5" SATA 6 GB/s HDD/SDD drive bays provide sufficient storage capacity for operating system and applications. For the communication with machines and external input or output devices, there are four USB 3.0, two RS-232, one RS-232/422/485 and 8-bit digital I/O ports available. Two independent HDMI display outputs in 4K UHD resolution enable the visualization of automation and machine vision applications in the highest image quality. ICP supports system integrators with technical know-how and Ready-to-Use systems in the evaluation process.
