Embedded World Preview: Intel Bay Trail Android BSP

February 23, 2015 OpenSystems Media

World-famous American Megatrends INC has announced access to the Android board support package (BSP) for the Intel Atom Bay Trail E3800 64-bit series that is rapidly growing in popularity in the embedded arena.

Historically in the reserve of commercial and retail mobile applications, Android is finding itself increasingly employed in more industrial applications, with the AMI Android BSP providing specific support to Google AOSP and Kit Kat MR2.1.

As a rapid development platform, the BSP is packaged with the efficient UEFI BIOS and able to be used immediately on the standard Bay Trail reference board, providing developers with everything they need to start Android development on x86 based platforms.

Look for daily updates about what you can expect to see at Embedded World as we get closer to the show on February 24-26.
