Embedded world 2017 already breaking records – Exhibitor record in sight – Exhibition space already exceeds last year’s total – Special disp

January 18, 2017 Embedded World

The success story of the embedded world exhibition & conference continues: already, the exhibition space reserved is higher than the previous year and is set to increase even more. For the first time,

1,000 exhibitors are expected to take part in the event. These figures once again highlight the fact that this exhibition on all aspects of embedded systems is the No. 1 international platform for the sector.

“Larger and more diverse year after year” seems to be the guiding principle of embedded world exhibition & conference, which will bring together the international embedded sector in Nuremberg from 14 to 16 March 2017. It was already breaking records in 2016. “In 2017 embedded world is set to expand yet again. In no less than six halls we are expecting 1,000 exhibitors for the first time,” says Benedikt Weyerer, Exhibition Director embedded world at NürnbergMesse. The exhibition area booked to date is greater than that of 2016.

Special display areas almost fully booked

At the electronic displays area, exhibitors will showcase display technologies, flexible displays, human-machine interfaces, GUIs, touch screens and 3D displays. “The interest by exhibitors was once again so great that this area is already fully booked,” says Weyerer. This shows the great importance of this topic, which is also reflected in the electronic displays conference.

The M2M area, which presents the latest products and applications from the machine-to-machine field, is almost at full capacity, while the safety & security area is also on track for success. The focus of this area is on how to design attack-proof hardware and software and protect embedded

systems from cyber-attacks. Here too, there is hardly any stand space left.

One trade fair – two congresses

Two top-class congresses, the embedded world conference and the electronic displays conference, will take place alongside the exhibition. The embedded world conference covers the entire range of hardware, software and tools for the development of embedded systems. In 2017, one

of the main thematic focus areas will be “Securely connecting the embedded world”. The success of the embedded world conference is rooted in the direct involvement of the entire embedded community. The conference contents, carefully put together by an international jury, guarantee the necessary knowledge transfer and the annual exploration of the latest developments and trends.

The electronic displays conference has become established as the most important European B2B platform for display technologies. The topics discussed range from current display technologies like LCD, OLED or ePaper through flexible and 3D displays to GUIs and touch screens. In addition, the conference will also look at the wide range of applications for electronic displays and the development of the market. The lecture programmes for the embedded world and electronic displays conferences are available from www.embedded-world.eu and www.electronicdisplays.de.

Variety is the key to success

The biggest success factor for the embedded world exhibition & conference is the diversity of the event. The trade fair, combined with the two conferences, three special display areas in the halls, the STUDENT DAY on the third day, the high-calibre discussion panel “Safe for the future” and other interesting presentations in the exhibitor forum make the embedded world exhibition & conference the No. 1 international fair and knowledgesharing platform for the industry.
