Ever had the pleasure of installing an industrial wireless network with more than a couple of nodes? Did you spend quite a bit of time on site with an RF analyzer, looking at signal strength, and adjusting the placement of access points to get decent performance? Not fun, and very time consuming.Part of the ZigBee value proposition is aimed at this exact problem. ZigBee has provisions to aid in installation and commissioning of networks, and Daintree Networks has just announced the first standards-based commissioning solution.Daintree’s software solutions are compatible with ZigBee platforms from Ember, Freescale Semiconductor, Texas Instruments, and Integration Associates, with more on the way. Graphical tools help visualize, analyze, measure, filter, customize, monitor, and manage deployed networks with just a few or many nodes.
