congatec AG has taken the first prize at the “Best Business Award 2008″, an annual cross-border competition with business awards for regional companies with proven success records. As part of the festivities which were held on 30 October at the Passau Stadttheater, congatec CEO Gerhard Edi accepted the award from Rudolf Fellner, the founder and president of the Best Business Awards, in the presence of former Bavarian finance minister Erwin Huber.

In his eulogy, Robert Steiner, the manager of the Chamber of Commerce of Upper Austria, emphasised congatec’s innovative approach. He also stated: “By virtue of its product line, congatec AG is in an excellent position to benefit more than most from the growth forecast for this market.”The “Best Business Award” is the most significant business award in the region, and this year’s award is the ninth that has been presented since its inception.
